Kate is going to be a year on May 1st! I can't believe this.. it seems like she was just born yesterday! I am starting to plan my babies first birthday and I was wondering if you guys had any cool ideas for a theme or party game ideas. Her invitations are plain pink and girly but I want a theme for her party. Please help me Any ideas are welcome!

one year old just like mess and trying new things so a party wouldnt bother them so you wouldnt need to go over the top.
here are some ideas which are on my list for my daughters 3rd birthday party:
prince and princess
animals
favourite tv program
disney
fancy dress

i cant think of anything else

If you have a cake design in mind, you could work the party around that theme (e.g teddy bear cake = bring your teddy bear, or princess cake = dress as a princess.. etc). Or obviously, design the cake once you know your theme, as most would do lol.

How about:

Fairy party (might not be suitable if boys are invited, lol)
Come as your favourite super hero or cartoon character

Other than that, all I can suggest is just having everything pretty and pink! Pink balloons, napkins, plates, cups, fairy bread and other party food, table cloths, etc...

My son is turning 1 on the 18th of May! So I'm going through the same issue! I just don't know what to do!

Right now I'm thinking of going with a color theme! Everything is based around a color or two! Or an underwater theme, or monkey or sports! His whole room is centered around baseball!


My sister turned one a few months ago and she had this hippy girly theme. It was pretty neat actaully..

then one of my friends for her daughter she is planning a lady bug theme..

With that cake you could do a royal theme(have every dress up in princess/prince/jester/queen/king outfits)

Or Alice in Wonderland theme which would be cute!
