Re:Nap Time!

he is on a schedule and bed time is a breeze but its nap time that is a huge issue. he'll even fall asleep on us and when we lay him down hell wake right up! Ive tired everything I just really need some help and answers and soon! I just dont know what to do to get him to go to sleep and stay asleep for nap! Why is bed time so easy but naps are a pain in the butt! He gets tired and knows hes tired but he fights it! The only way he wont fight it is if I put him in the stroller and go for my walk (which is my work out). So please please help! And as far as the tv thing with ADD I do believe you cause my doc told me the same thing but it is hard cus just when im watching tv his eyes get glued to it, so I try to play with him at the same time but he gets destracted very easily!

You may just ahve to be firm and put him to bed. set a time limit as to how long your going to let him fuss like form 1 to 3pm. do it every day until he understands you mean business. Good luck.

To alipper I think you gave good advice but to someone with a newborn sorry but Your advice wont work for me he is 14 months old and obvioulsy isnt suffering from colic he just wont lay down and take a nap!

And To CariannDS I lay him in his crib and let him cry but he wont stop he will cry for an hour plus

Crying won't hurt him, you just have to be consistant and strong. Everday at the same time for the same length of time with the same routine.
