By MissM 3 Years, 7 Months Ago 2-3 years. My oldest is 3 years older than my middle child, and my youngest is 2 years younger than the middle one.
2-3 because its not as stressful on the parents. By the time one child is 2 or 3, they will still need your care, but they will be more independent and won't need you every minute of the day. Also, 2-3 years is a very good age gap for the children. They'll grow up to be very close. I feel sorry for children with large age gaps. Of course they still love their siblings, but they're not very close with them because they have nothing in common growing up!

Re:age gaps By happytohelp 3 Years, 7 Months Ago Well i have 3 children and have just found out i am pregnant with the fourth.
Theres 4,2,6months . And i am due to have my fourth the middle of May(date not yet confirmed.) I personally love the age gap between my children, waiting to long could cause jelousy between the siblings because they have been the center of attention for so long

Re:age gaps By ontherun 3 Years, 7 Months Ago I almost have 6 children. My age differences range between 4yrs and will be 13mths. If you are a breast feeder, I think that it physically hard having siblings 18mths or less apart. Done that a few times. If I had the knowledge I have now back then, whether you bottle or breast feed, 2yr age gap would (in my opinion) be optimium. That way they are close enough to be buddies (hoping for no jealousy issues), and its easy for your body to cope with.
