Bit of a strange post but I was just thinking...

I have curly hair and no one else in my family has curly hair... where did I get it from?

So just out of curiosity do you have curly, straight, blonde, brown, red hair and from which side did you get it from? Do you have something completely different?

Do your kids take after you with their hair colour and whether its curly or straight?

Just something to chat about I suppose!

I have dark almost black hair which i get from both parents & its straight unless its wet & then its kind of curly its too long to ever be really curly but my brother use to have like an afro with ringlet curls it was so funny
John has same hair color as me but obviously shorter
Katie has lighter hair just slightly though hers is kind of wavy
Pat has dark hair as well & unless its buzzed its very curly
I have the darkest hair well me & one of my younger brothers do ours is almost black
Joey has dirty blond/light brownish straight no matter what
Kevin had white blonde hair when he was a baby but its gotten slightly darker as he got older he got it from my moms side
Danny has almost black hair like mine
& Mary has light brownish color & waay to thick my mom had to cut it short because she wouldnt let anyone brush it
& strangely enough my dad has a brother who has red hair its really entertaining actually

Well i dont have kids but i hope you dont mind my posting

i have auburn hair, it was golden when i was little...im not sure where i got it from, my mom was blonde and my dad started out white blonde & its now very dark brown.
i have one sister who is a dirty blonde and 2 siblings that are strawberry blonde

my husband started white blonde and it is now dirty blonde, it used to be straight but is now curly.

my daughter has dirty blonde hair with light blonde highlights (natural), and her hair is a little wavy with curls at the bottom

my son has white blonde hair so far, that may change he is only 4 months.

Myself, I have straight auburn hair which get a little bit wavy when wet. I was blond when I was a little child.
Rest of family have brown hair oscillating between middle brow to very dark brown. but I don't wonder why I'm not the same. There's no straight genetic connection between us

Thanks kellymh puck and KitKat! I find all of this stuff really interesting... isn't it funny how siblings from the same family can sometimes be completely different but then you get those families where all the kids look like they should be twins only born a couple years apart!

Thats funny Kristy because i actually know two boys like that they are both on my brothers basketball team ones a junior & ones a sophmore & the junior has white blond hair but his brother has dark brown but the funniest part is other than that they could be twins my dad thought they were twins at first their faces are identical its hilairous
