Help! Pregnant and my parents are bailing
By Ariellevioletx92 3 Years, 2 Months Ago
I am pregnant with my third baby and my parents are outraged! OK i didnt expect them to be happy about it... i did expect some disapointment, but didnt expect them to react this way! i am realy scared and dont know what to do.
They told me to get an abortion or get out and start my own life. I dont want an abortion because this baby was PLANNED! well i didnt necisarily plan it, but i purposely had sex without protection knowing theres a chance of getting pregnant and i was OK with that, i was open to having another baby, i want my babies to have siblings close in age.
I am 4 months pregnant now and 17 yrs old, and my mom said I have until the end of 2009 to find a job and move out!!!! Can you believe that?? I hate her so much now, how could she do this to me especialy in such a difficult time?
My parents said "If you think you are old enough to be a mother, that means your old enough to be an adult and live on your own and support yourself and your family. We supported you the first two times, but this is too much, we thought you would learn from your mistakes. You have to take responsibility and act like a mature adult. You can't just bring these kids into the world like its no big deal and expect us to take care of them. we dont have the time, money, or patience for your mistakes....blah blah blah". and yes, they called them MISTAKES!!!
I really dont know what to think or do, im so mad and sad and AH!! I dont know why they would act this way and say i'm irresponsible because im a really good mother. I have some friends who are also teen mothers and dont give a shit about their kids, they just go out to parties and let their parents or grandparents take care of them, but im not like that! I dropped out of school to take care of them, and i am with them all day. I wake up at 6 am every morning to take care of them and i love them with all my heart. I cant get a job because my job is being a mother... my parents are busy all day and dont have time to take care of my kids, and even if they did, they dont want to!
What do i do???? I know 2010 is pretty far from now, but im so stressed out, i feel like my time is running out. What can I do?
How can i possibly get a job and find a place to pay rent???
i could get a minimum wage job which pays 8 bucks an hour, but i cant work more than 20 hours per week cuz i have to be there for my babies. 8 bucks an hour = 640 dollars per month. thats not nearly enough for monthly rent of even the cheapest, ghettoest apartment!

are there any other teen mums in similar situations?

please, any words of advice or support will help!!!

i'm sorry but i agree with your parents about you needing to do this on your own, if you purposely had sex. maybe you should think about what you do before you do it.

I agree with your parents also. Not that your kids are mistakes or that youre a bad mother, but you should have thought this threw. You're children aren't your parents responsibility, they're yours. They raised you their job as far as taking care of young children goes should be over with the exception of the grandkids coming over once or twice every two weeks. If they wanted to take care of babies they would have had more. You could be the best mother in the world but that doesn't change the fact that you thinking you could be 17 with 3 kids and expect your parents to support you AND them and not wanna kick you out and be angry with you is naive and irresponsible. I'm 19 and pregnant with my first and I got told I was EXPECTED to live at home and my boyfriend to move in but we are taking every initiative to move into our own place which we do next month.

Wow, your parents supported you through two pregnancies and are taking care of you and your children? It's one thing to get pregnant unexpectedly and do what you need to do to make it work. It's another to repeatedly get pregnant on purpose, knowing that someone else will be the one taking care of the babies. You could have discussed your desire to have another baby with the people who would be feeding him/her, but you didn't because you know what they would have said- what any adult would have said.

Are you for serious?

"dont know why they would act this way and say i'm irresponsible because im a really good mother."

NEWS FLASH: You're 17 and pregnant with your third baby, living with your parents who take care of you and the kids, and went and had unprotected sex knowing that you could end up pregnant again, OF COURSE YOU'RE IRRESPONSIBLE!

You didn't honestly expect to find someone who thought your parents were in the wrong did you?
