I'm seventeen and still a virgin. On more than one occasion I have broken up with a boyfriend of mine on the spot because they pushed for sex. I just don't think that I'm ready. It's a personal choice and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. I don't know if I'll wait for marriage, you never know i might, but I'm definitely waiting for love =)

I don't think it is an age that necessarily makes up when or when not to have sex. I think that it is the maturity level and who you are with. Here the age legal age is sixteen too and I know that most of my friends lost theirs well before this (most at fourteen and the guys even younger). None of them are psychologically damaged or anything but none of them are with the people they lost it to either (the guys definitley aren't bothered by this). I'm glad that I waited until I felt ready and for a nice guy.

I agree with LovesBabies about how i don't think there is every really a "right" age to start having sex. I was raised Catholic and they told us over and over again no sex before marrage, but as my uncle always says "the best place to find a date when I was young was at the Catholic school cuz they would do anything" so I kind of think that if you forbide it teenagers are even more likely to do it!!!

I agree with you as well. It's hard. I conceived Wyatt my 1st time and I was 16. I was so scared and just mentally a mess even before I found out I was pregnant.
