I wouldn't get the babies ears pierced too early, I got mine first when I was four, I hated it and ended up taking them out as soon as I got home. So I waited again and got them pierced at 8.

My family usually has them done in the first couple of months. Personally I will wait until my children and make that choice.

I dot peirce by children's ears intil they want to. So when their babies I don't becuase they might not want to. Also one of the reasons I don't do it becuase the babies get so many shots they don't need another.

I can not believe how many people think it is horrible to pierce your baby's ears...

Well this is gonna stir the pot thats for sure but both my daughter and one of my sons have their ears pierced and were both 14 months old when it was done.... They are my youngest two and my eldest 2 are extremely jealous, my 2nd son wishes I had of had his done when he was a baby cos he is too chicken to do it now but really wants one, my eldest I feel if I had of had it done with him when he was a baby then maybe he would have looked at the earing like it was nothing and normal because now he huge gaping holes in both ears from spacers plus 2 sets of snake bites in his bottom lip and he's getting his eyebrow done apparently which I don't like any of them and my new baby girl due any day now will be getting her ears pierced when she is 14 months old aswell...

It is solely up to the parents and if thats what they want to do then so be it....

All of my brothers and sisters got their ears pierced as babies and if we didn't like them we didn't wear them. I am personally not an earing wearing type but the option is nice and my sis loves her earings and my brothers took theirs out cuz they didn't want them. Honestly it's not that big of a deal when they get older if they dont want them they don't wear them but if they want them they do wear them.

I wouldn't say it's horrible, seeing as the kids don't even remember it. They also grow up with it, so it's perfectly normal to them. My parents didn't do it to me, mainly because they just wanted me to have the option even though they knew that if I didn't like them I could let them heal over.

I don't have my ears peirced, and I don't plan on getting them peirced. I'm hardly religious at all, but I think that if we were supposed to have holes in our ears we would have been born with holes in our ears. Besides, I'm too chicken anyway. My mom wants to get my ears peirced, but I figure that if I ever want them peirced when I'm older then I'll get it done then.

Spacers are just gross, I think. I know two kids with them, and every time I see them I think, 'what were they thinking?'.
