i would like to say home with my kids and baby but i know there are other things i'm responsible for. i'm a single mom so i work and i think what i do is benefitting society so i'm happy..when my premie comes home i'll stay home for 2 mo.s on materity leave and come back so yeah

I would love to and my husband is all for it but my children are getting to know others. I am always thinking about it and i have always wanted to be a stay at home mum. You know the dream to take your children to football or dance class and cook the food, be the ideal mum but we can't all have that. I love life the way it is and without my 4 amazing boys my life would be nothing.

I really didn't see CariannDS's post as being a rant or condescending. I thought it was a positive expression of how she feels. It was a lot more positive and classy and encouraging then some of the other people 'stating their opinion' on this forum.

Anyway, I seen this topic on the Tyra show a few months back. I don't know what the big feud is between working mom's and stay at home mom's. I'm going to stay at home,but it's not because I think going back to work is wrong. A good mom is a good mom. No matter if they stay home or go back to work. And just for the record, staying home with the kids is work.

I stay home with my children, but plan on starting work after my third child (due this month) is a few months old.

I'm 26 years old. I had my first baby at 21 while I was in medical school and my second at 24. I finished medical school when I was 23 (I started college early--at 17) and have been a stay-at-home mother ever since.

I plan on starting my residency in the spring of 2009.

I love staying home with my kids and bonding with them as much as possible while they are little, but I don't want to be a stay-at-home mom. I love being independent and working. This is only temporary.

i will be a SAHM until my youngest a in school. my girl will be 9 by then, my boy will be 6, and the twins will be will be 5. i am a marine engineer, and went to work when my girl was 13 months. i am on contract with the canadian navy, i went to hawaii for 8 months, and it broke my heart to leave her for that long. i love my job, but i love my kids even more, so i will not leave again until they are old enough to be in school, and are not completely dependant on me. i am the main breadwinner in our house, we live on the farm where my husband works, and the farmers wife does daycare, so we will make it work. i can restrict myself to one trip a year, and parents of young kids get priority to be home for christmas. i will only be 27 when i go back to work, and we are aiming for early retirement.
