Well when you think about it there is no right birth order because every person is different and may find it easier in some situations than others.

I am one of 9. Five older brothers, one younger brother and two older sisters. Only three have the exact same parents as me.
The oldest is:
Elizabeth,37 Andrew,36 Reece & Benjamin,35 Allie,34 Christopher,32 Me,29 Alexander,27 Matthew,26.
Still our parents brought us up with good discipline and love, they coped well with the age gaps.

Whereas me i have much shorter age gaps between my children
Hayden,8 Wyatt,7 Lexie,6 Paige,6 (not twins but with 10 months between them) Caden,5 Kai & Elliot,3 Niamhi,23 months Freya,12 months and baby Kezia is on the way.
Bearing in mind Lexie and Paige are not my biological children, i still love the age difference.

I suppose it is every one to their own.

Between me and my younger brother there are 2 years 5 months. I think that's an ideal age gap. Fair enough we fight like cat and dog but we are sometimes the best of friends lol

My sister and I are 8 years apart. It was tough for me when I was younger because I was the only child for 8 whole years, it was a big change. We kind of did our own thing... didn't have much in common because of the age difference. Sometimes we'd get on each others nerves lol. I was the bossy older child.

Now I'm 23 and she's 15, we can relate a little better now that she's growing up. While I couldn't say this when I was 8, I am very glad that I have a little sister. She's so funny, she always makes me laugh. And it's cute to see her grow up. It turns out we are a lot alike. Now that's she's a Sophomore, she has all the same classes I had as a Sophomore.

My mom always said I was her idol, and I was like "yeah right". But when she was 10 and I was 18, she had a school project were she put down that I was her idol. Awww. I'll always remember that.

.... My mom had us 8 years apart because I was always so sick as a child. So I understand. I wish we could have been closer in age though. I think it would have been fun.

I plan on having my children closer in age. Perhaps 2.5 to 3 years apart. But who knows. Maybe I will have them 8 years apart lol. Only time will tell.
