help has any one had one im due one thursday

i had one with my first baby 7 days after my due date two days later i had my daughter. its not painfull and takes a few minutes if that. i had mine done by my midwife. dont worry it will be fine

Yes I had one last year with my son.. painless, just does it during a routine exam.. it did nothing to help me though but then again I was a few days away from my due date still.

Aren't membrane sweeps for induction of labor? Why are you getting one if you're only 18 weeks pregnant?

No, she is further along than that, she just hasn't updated her profile until she joined. Remember her posts about Choroid Plexus Cysts back in the fall? She was 21 weeks back then, and that was 3 months and 4 weeks ago. That makes her 37-38ish weeks, which is right around the time that a doc would be stripping the membranes (especially if lil' Fred is kinda hefty!).

3 months and 4 weeks is 4 months...
