Beckett is a good unusual first name.

i'll be thinking of that, and doing research of course :P

Has anyone met Cadens or Cades before? If so did the name sound hard to distinguish..

I'm starting to really like it, but I was trying to stay away from the trendy names :S

This is for a girl right? Cause I remember you posting for Griffin for a girl. I kind of like it more for a boy, but it is sounding really cute to me for a girl. Caden might be the kind of trendy names you hear of now but I've never met or heard of someone with the names Cade, or Caden in my life. And I seriously doubt she would be in a class with 5 other Cadens especially since it's usually more of a boys name. I would use a different spelling like Cayden or Caidyn(which kind of looks girlier).

When it comes to your family not liking your names, you could just not tell them until after the baby is born or just tell them you are completely final on your name, because it isn't really there say on what you should name your baby. I won't be having kids for awhile but when I do, I definitely won't let my family's opinions effect my decision, and I might not even tell them, but I probably wouldn't be able to resist. And just say this is going to be the name! Because I have already told some of them that I LOVE the name Jayme for a boy and they were like, eww. Haha, but when I have a son some day his name WILL be Jayme!! If you decide on a name you LOVE don't let them change your mind! Good luck!

Griffon is a great name. I like it better than Caden. If your worried about Aiden, there is also Brayden, Drayden, Jaden, Hayden etc. It is way to common for my liking.
What about Gryphon?

Oh, I like the name Griffin. It's definitely in my top ten, but I doubt I'll ever use it, because my BF likes Biblical names and names with certain meanings. I like enough other names that also fit his tastes, so... However, it's cute. And I like the Anglo-Saxon feel to it; it always makes me think of medieval England. That's probably because in one of my favorite books, the village pub is called the Red Griffin.

I don't care much for Caden; too popular for my tastes. I have a cousin with a son named Kayden. I have a hard time picturing a forty-year-old company president with the name, although I do much prefer your spelling. I do like Cade quite well, however.

Maybe other names with a similar feel--Gavin? Ian? Orion? Gabriel?
