It takes about year for a woman's body to fully recover from having a baby, I would recommend waiting at least this long before trying to conceive again. 2-3 years is not that far apart.

I'd wait another year before trying! Trust me being a mum of 6 it's so much easier when they have a larger age gab between the two, well at least in my personal experience.

It's 24-48 hours, but I agree it just has to be that right time.

When you are ovulating you have a slight increase in your body temperature so you could try taking your temp every morning, right when you get up to know when you can conceive or not.

Keep track of your period and use an ovulation chart to find your most fertile period. The doctor told me to start trying five days after my last day of my period and every other day from that point. Also, the second baby seems to be more difficult in getting pregnant for some reason. Usually they say...give it a year. There could also be underlyning problems like your thyroid which makes it more difficult to conceive.
