Sorry this is a bit off subject, but what is heartburn exactly? Like what causes it?

No celIanne that's a good question, it's a burning sensation in your chest and is caused by stomach acid refluxing back into the esophagus! There's a few causes but I think when your heavily pregnant it's to do with the pressure on your stomach making this happen. I have done everything in the book to avoid getting it but it's driving me mad. Ah Shann I'm sitting here with a glass of milk I woke up this morning and it's still there but alot milder. This milk is giving me instant relief, it's still there but is definetely helping so thankyou, your message could be a sleep saver lol! If it does carry on after tonight I'm off to the chemist cause on top of this I have rib pains, pelvis pain, bad back and I'm tired. Yes im feeling sorry for myself today, lol. The pepermint tea the other night made it worse it kept repeating on me! I don't know ladies it a good job these babies are worth it!!!

I've had really bad heartburn since about 10 wks..I alternate between myloox and pepcid omplete chewables. On really bad nights I'll prop myself up in bed or sleep in the recliner. I've also started by triing a few crackers when i wake up at night with it...good luck

So glad the milk has helped! It was the only thing that would help me. I had to avoid eating things with mince in it, like spag bog and pies, and also fizzy drink made it worse in the end
