Re:Homeschool, public, private?!
By happy2bme 4 Years Ago
You could also look at it this way. Your child can be an example to other children if they go to public school. You are teaching him right and wrong at home. Home is the most important place for children to learn; parents should be their children's #1 teacher. And we know that our society needs good examples now more than ever. Have a good relationship with your child; if he comes home saying things he shouldn't or if he has heard something he shouldn't, you correct him and explain why. He'll learn from you, and he will tell others at school. I have a friend who put her child in public school after homeschooling for a year. She said he made a difference on some of the issues that came up at school because he would take a stand on what he believed and had been taught and she would encourage him for that. (this was in 3rd grade) I know lots of children from Christian homes who went to public school who did not get into trouble and turned out very good.

I 100% believe you should choose a public school. I won't say ALL my reasons because that'll take way too long. But I agree w/ Bridoe, preschoolmom and happy2bme.

Public and private are practically the same. The kids in private schools are richer, snobbier, but just as stupid.
