Some of you may know my son, Noah, is double jointed and at the age of 17 months, can't walk. Well, today he overcame some huge obstacles and I am so so so proud of him! This morning I was practising his standing with him and had him standing up while holding onto the couch, and he took five steps along the couch to grab his rusk! I was so excited! He ended up doing it a few times today (before he couldn't do it any longer because his ankles started to give way the longer he was standing) and I just couldn't wipe the grin off my face!

Then, to top it all off, I know he likes to stand up around the outside of the bath tub because he can get a good grip on the top of the bath to support his double jointed knees and ankles, so I sat him on the floor near the bath and he pulled himself up to the standing position! Again, another big grin!!!

Especially as he did it half a dozen times!
I apologise for my enthusiasm on this subject, since most babies are doing this well before Noah's current age, but this was such a big milestone for him

I couldn't be prouder of him right now. After months and months of practising with little to no improvement, I am just so encouraged by his sudden strength and will to stand and step (even if it is only along the furniture!).
