Hi everybody!

I just read an article about Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's new twins' names. Here they are:

Moroccan Scott Cannon (the boy)
and
Monroe Cannon (the girl)

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are? Most of the comments on the website where the article was were not very good...

I love Monroe Cannon; it has nice flow and definitely belongs on a celebrity baby. Moroccan is not great, but the shop where Nick proposed to Mariah had Moroccan decor...so that's where they got the meaning for it.

Oh and Monroe was named to honor Marilyn Monroe, the late celebrity who is Mariah's idol.

I love how Cannon makes a comment saying they aren't going to name their children any "crazy" names like "carburetor" and he then names his children Moroccan and Monroe.

So not a fan of either names!

Well,...this is proof that people are crazy! Oh, and the girl should be named Moroccan (poor child ) and the boy should be named Monroe. Geez!

DEFINITELY not my tastes...but I don't dislike them as much as the rest of you. They're not really over the top or crazy, in my opinion.

I do agree with Angel, though... I would have thought the genders would have been opposite (Moroccan for the girl, Monroe for the boy).

I've thought about these names some more, and I think they should've just given a nod to the whole Moroccan theme by just using a few of the letters. They could've named the boy Monroe, taken the MOR/AN from Moroccan, and named the girl Morgan since they seem to like masculine names for girls. Monroe and Morgan sound much better, and still acknowledge the Moroccan theme.
