Hair :) (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Re:Hair :) By Shann 1 Year Ago His hair is in his eyes a little bit, so I'm not sure whether or not to just trim his fringe or do an all over trim! The sides and back of his head are curly, but the top and front are pretty straight. I'm scared the curls won't come back if I chop them off (that tends to happen on my side of the family, but my partner's hair is curly so I'm not sure which way it will go!).
Angel - It sounds like your son had really beautiful hair! A giant LOL!!! to your son's father's mother haha poor child! Gracie - Noah didn't have much hair until he hit 12 months! I guess it's lucky for your daughter to have lots of beautiful hair, especially for a little girl, sounds lovely! Auntieofsix - Was Mason's hair getting long or did his mum just cut it for the sake of it? I guess the "untidy" appearance is when I think a cut is necessary, or when it is in the child's eyes, like my son's. Other than that, I think the "baby hair" is cute and natural, and something you can't get back once it's cut! Emily - That's the plan!

Re:Hair :) By Alisamber 1 Year Ago Hey, Shann! I know exactly where you're coming from! With my first and second boys, we had their hair cut around 12 months, but I don't exactly remember when off the top of my head. (I probably have it written down somewhere). With my third, knowing he was my last, it was after his second birthday. And my mother-in-law drove me crazy about cutting his hair. It was so cute, though! I think I did trim his bangs once or twice just barely to get it out of his eyes. Then after we had pictures made around his second bd we took him to get a big boy haircut. (Not the same day, but within a few weeks). It is a bittersweet thing. They seem to age so suddenly and you don't have your "baby" anymore. And, it does seem true that the texture of the hair changes once they get a couple of regular haircuts. His was to his shoulders and would curl a little at the ends. It is weird to look back at those pictures now that he's over three, but I'm glad I waited a while to cut it. I do think that they need it out of their eyes so they can see well, play, and go! So I would wait a little while to harbor those bittersweet motherly feelings of keeping your baby a baby, but not too long where he looks totally ridiculous and it is interfering with his day.

Re:Hair :) By monkeys1315 1 Year Ago I can honestly say I don't have that problem yet, as Marina has like very little hair still at 2. But i remember my cousin's hair was long at around Noah's age, he def had a mullet look going on and everyone bugged my aunt to cut it but she didn't until he was like 2 and a half and then everyone was like "why'd you cut it, he looks wierd now"
