That's absolutely ridiculous that she could just stand there while her child is screaming. My mom would probably say I had it coming for running away but she would at least had some type of emotion. Thank you Colbi for helping him.

People aren't going to like what I have to say, but if I were his mum I would have said thank you to you then turn directly to him and give him an earful about not sticking his
nose, er rather his whole body where it ought not to be. I would explain to him that doing such things could hurt or even kill him. I believe knowledge is power, so I would have told him then and there what could have happened if he did that and no one was around. It's a parents duty to protect their children and shielding them cause they're to young from things like explaining the danger of playing in a freezer is just silly to me. If they don't know the dangers how can they protect them selves by making better choices. I would have used it as a teaching lesson.

My mom was totally like that. She would hug me and say she was glad I was ok, then give me a smack down about doing what I already had the common sense to know was wrong. She would have thanked the person that returned me, and taken me outside to the car or waited until we got home to give me the lecture.
