I was just wondering what your opinions were on the show teem mom. I don't think they do a great job of showing what it's like being a parent. I watched a few of the shows and couldn't stand it. I mean it's not just being a teen parent, some teens are great parents. They decide they would rather start a family instead of going to school and they have the money. But for having kids very young probably not having a decent amount of money saved, or a good job, or a decent education isn't a good way to start a family. The show doesn't show what it's like, going to school, paying bills, going to work, feeding, changing, bathing the said child, figuring out the food bill, ect. I take my 2 year old cousin out for five to six hours a day sometimes, and by the time her mom or grandma comes to pick her up I'm whopped. lol. I feel the show shows too much of the boyfriend drama and bullcrap of that sort, nothing that really relats to the raising of a child. I know that some of you ladies were teen moms, was your life that easy when you had your children?, or do I just think and see things differently because I'm not a parent and don't have children around me 24/7?

i have to say that i am addicted to teen mom, because of all the drama, lol. i completely agree with you that it doesn't show what it's like to really be a teen mom. i actually kind of feel like it glorifies teen pregnancy...i mean, some girls might get pregnant just to get on tv, ya know? one thing that disturbs me is when the girls on that show talk about not having any money, but, aren't they getting paid to be on the show??? i don't know. i do watch the show and i have to say i love it

I've only seen bits and pieces of the show when I was around my little sister, but I don't like it at all. As with most "reality" shows most of it is staged/scripted and doesn't really show what it's like to have a child while you're a teen. Of course, what it's really like wouldn't have the appeal of creating baby-daddy drama and such. I just think it's ridiculous.

Oh, I totally dislike that show. Whoever writes the scripts must have a 3-pound rock for a brain. All right, the babies are really cute. But it seems regrettable that some teens get pregnant, apply for the show, and get rejected. How immature.

I was just wondering because the show makes it look so easy , we were with Liz for five hours, I got up at 11am we took her out from noon till 5pm and I was soooo tired. Could barely play rock band with my friend after, it's like they still have the energy to party? The parents I mean.

I've seen bits of that show. They do voice overs for the parent's 'thoughts.' ickyyy..

Yeah I tried watching it. I get bored. It was dumb, I have worse drama than these girls. And that's saying something.
