I have a three year old daughter and I am currently 18 weeks. She knows there is a baby in my belly and I know it is just a matter of time before she asks how it got there. I am kind of at a loss because I dont want to lie to her but I am not sure how to explain it without going into detail. How did you explain it to your children?

My parents told me, when I was 5 and my brother was coming, that God planted a seed in Mommy's belly. And then the seed grew into a baby like when a seed grows into a flower. It made sense to me. Congratulations!

I was delivered by C-section, so my mom always said belly. I eventually figured out the more usual way on my own, though.

I never had siblings (until way after I knew where babies come from.. I was 16 by time my dad and step mum had their first) so I never questioned where babies come from.. I do remember ny dad and my uncle talking about sex one time when I was about 4 and when I asked what it was he told me its where babies come from and to ask mummy next time she visited.. I ended up forgetting and learned in primary school
