Re:London Rioting!! By Rebornmummy1995 9 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I live in suffolk iv heard its now in cambridgeshire im well scared ... iv made up this poem its a bit long but hay here it goes
Riots I can feel it in the air tonight something’s got to change .Riots everywhere no safe place to hide. Grad your children get in your car drive anywhere near or far .Protect your family and your friends never give up the fight to the end. For your future for your friends I said it once don’t make me say it again. RIOTS, RIOTS everywhere no place to hide no no not over there. Save the children the young and old get them away from this fighting about nothing more than a shooting of a man shot down for what I personally think is a harmless mistake. It’s just excuses I can see pass them lie’s you wanted a reason to rob and despise. Put down your guns and the police give chase running away won’t make things change you looted a shop you burnt a building did you even think about everyone else’s earnings. Business gone family’s ruined. Didn’t you think about what you were doing while going around burning and cursing. For the good people out there we are the United that make the United Kingdom let’s get together stop the yobs get your brooms and prove them wrong. By Rachel Kent 11/8/11 Age 15

By Baby Bird 9 Months, 2 Weeks Ago Its so terrifying whats been happening. Fortunately it looks as if its cooling down now, but honestly something like that was a long time coming. It was all originally motivated by peaceful protests, but tensions where just too high.
I spent a few months staying with a cousin in Manchester, and there is an obvious gap in the class systems. She'd had to give up on going to uni because it was too expensive now, and she believes she's been rejected for so many job opertunities because of her address. Lost of young people blame the government, police, and the rich for whats wrong with their lives. And most importantly alot of them are treated like dirt. Granted, there are those who just moan and whine, but there are also those who try and try to break the glass and just can't get through. Its so tragic that its blown up like this. Six deaths, countless business and cars burnt and trashed and looted. And at this point all of the rioters are just opportunistic crazies. Then you have the government and the police pointing fingers at each other for how its all been handled. It such a huge, terrifying mess. You even have councils evicting the FAMILIES of people arrested, a move which the government supports. How is that going to make things any better? Not that I condone what the rioters are doing at all. As I said, I've been following it and fortunately it appears as if its on its last legs. But there are also obviously some huge issues that need to be addressed. Feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong, but this is all from what I've gathered from my experiences and from what I've been seeing in the media.
