ABORTION - WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? (1 viewing) (1) Guest
Re:ABORTION - WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

I know this is an old post, but I would like to state my opinion on this.
I am COMPLETELY pro-choice. Personally, I would never get an abortion myself, nor would I ever condemn anyone that ever did.
However in the case of some girls that I know, that have used abortions as a birth control method, to me THAT is wrong. I know of some girls that have gotten pregnant 2 or 3 times and have aborted every child that they have consieved (sp?). One girl I know isnt even able to have children now because she had 3 abortions within a year.
My daughter was VERY sick, even in utero and I was told that it was better for both my child and I that I terminate the pregnancy. I couldnt, I just didnt have it in me. Even my own family was telling me that I was going to make her suffer if I didnt terminate.
I have very close friends who have had abortions 4-5 years ago and they are still scarred emotionally. Im not strong enough of a person to deal with that.

I personally did not choose abortion while I found out I got pregnant with the baby inside me right now. I found out while I was still in school, luckily the last quarter of college. But my parents suggested me to abort the baby. It is not about right or wrong, I don't think I can judge. I just simply think that I would miss him forever in the rest of my life, and I knew I couldn't let him go. He was conceived because I didn't use protection, so it was my fault from the start.

However, I do know there are girls out there have to choose abortion as an option, and I don't criticize them for doing so. In America, people here are relatively lucky to have choices, and many mothers can still have the chance to go for higher education and accomplish a lot even after they have children at their young ages. But many women in other countries are not so lucky. I was raised in China, and the society there is completely different. Girls will be expelled from school if they get pregnant, and there is very limited help offered to them. Basically the girls would be doomed for life if they don't abort their babies. I feel sorry for these girls, because they really have no choice but to abort their babies. If they don't, they would be looked down upon forever, and will struggle a lot through life.

I was also a child born in the one-child policy era. Because of that evil policy, I am the only child that my parents could have. To be honest, I do wish I was never born. My family is healthy, and my parents love me to death. But I feel that I owe them a lot, even too much. And I take away my two younger siblings' chances to live because I was born. They could probably enjoy and appreciate life better than I do.

Anyways, it is just to express my thought about abortion. I am not supporting those girls who just get pregnant and abort babies so many times for no serious reasons. But I do feel sorry for the ones that do not have other better choices but to abort.

Hi, I'm Vicki Mom of two of the best looking boys lol and twin girls on the way. I have PCOS which makes me suffer from mild infertility nothing as bad as it could be. But It took a while to conceive my oldest son Joshua(4) I ended up having to be put on fertility meds.. To help conceive him and the others..I think abortion might as well be murder..I could not do it b/c of my situation for sure..but don't approve. I know people say " well I don't wanna have the constant reminder of being raped" But at doctor appts. You would be reminded of murdering a helpless little baby.

Hope I helped Hunn.

I can't believe you people judge what others have done..you may think abortion is "baby killing" thats your opinion! You don't know what the women has gone through..

No, it's not opinion, it's fact. An abortion is literally the killing of a baby. You can't sugar-coat it.

At age 17 I became pregnant with my first son I was young, frightened and didn't know what to do. I considered having an abortion. I decided for me that it wasn't an option I didn't know how I would live with myself. Jeremy will be 35 this December and I have never regreted bringing him into the world.

When my middle son told us his girlfriend was pregnant and he didn't want to marry her both his father and I thought an abortion was the answer. Our sons girlfriend thought different and our grandson Lance is the joy of all our lives.

I believe abortion is an individual choice and everyone has to make that decision for themself's. Not all young women who choose abortion have a clear choice fear, parents and boyfriends and their parents play a role in the decision process.

The problem is no one has a crystal ball and we can't predict the future. Is being a single parent difficult you bet it is but having someone love you unconditionally is the greatest gift any of us can ever expect to recieve.
