It's Granny Nora & they still aren't decided!!!
By Granny Nora 3 Years, 10 Months Ago
My daughter and her husband cannot decide on a baby name. They both like Brooke or Brooklyn, she leans more to Brooke. However they seem undecided about that name, and keep telling me that they are just unsure. My daughter wants to name the baby soon because we are planning on putting the baby's name on the wall in the nursery. Plus I am a cross-stitcher and I make terry baby bibs that slip over the head and I personalize them, they are so cute. They are so fickly they say they haven't heard anything lately that sounds good. His first name choice was Bailey Paige, but that is out. Whitney liked Faith, he said no. So can you give them some advice that I can forward on to them? Mommy's name is Whitney Kay (Kay is my middle name and my mother's), and Daddy's name is Joseph Michael - last name Rodriguez. I haven't asked for help for a while. So can you help? Oh, I also have been thinking. They mentioned Navie to me as a name, and we all like it after we thought on it for a while. But now they are not talking about that name. So I wonder if they are planning on using it, and are really trying not to let the cat out of the bag until she is born. But I know if a name hit them that they hadn't thought of before they might consider it. Thank you all. This is a wonderful site. You all are just considerate wonderful people. Oh, I am going to start painting the nursery on Sunday!!! Yipee, it should be fun!!!! We bought the paint, it is a warm cream. She picked Carter's Love Bug, (Babies R Us) for the decorations and comforter in the nursery. It is mainly cream, pink, and brown. Very soft and cozy. Thanks again....Granny Nora

Hi Granny Nora!
I have a new baby niece, and her name is Ava Brooke, which I think is a pretty name. There are lots of pretty names that go with Brooke. Or they could use Brooklyn for a first name and call her Brooke if that is what your daughter likes best. I also think the name Maggie is cute for a girl. My husband's brother and his wife were going to use Maggie Eden for a girl, but now I think they are going with Maddie Eden. I also have another new baby niece on my husband's side and her name is Sadie; her sister is Chloe. (Yes, we have baby girls all around as you can see! I also like the name Ella. What about Ella Brooke? Or Brooklyn Elise? I like Natalie, too! I think girls' names are easier to pick than boys'! I hope you have fun decorating the nursery!

I'm a cross-stitcher too. Before my niece was born, me and my mom cross-stitched pieces for her baby blanket using different baby animals. We used pastel colors and it turned out so pretty. The nursery colors sound beautiful. Pink and brown are so pretty together. As for names, I like Brooke, Brooklyn, and Faith. Bailey Paige is pretty too.

Here are some names they might like:
Jenavieve (Navie is in the name!)
Kaylee
Michaela
Josie
Madelyn
Presley
Talisa
Sabrina
Ella
Olivia
Savannah
Evangeline
Samantha
Hannah
Bethany

Let me know what you think.

Hello Granny Nora. Long time no see!

I will stick to variations of Navie for now. 99% of them Aussie. All will go nicely with Kay as a second name actually.

Navia
Navijah
Navika
Navilia
Navina
Navine
Navy (?)
Navya

Let us know if there are others that interest them (i.e. if they give a clue) and we'll work around them.
