Lots of people name their kids Max or Maxie, and don't worry about sounding like a woman's product. As far as sounding like Gluteous Maximus, the gluteuos is the bum, not the Maximus...and yes there is a magazine called maxim, but we are giving our boys girls names, and girls boys names. We are naming our kids after food, plants, flowers, cities, etc.
Maxim is a real name and I still think it sounds better than Maxwell.

Hey Flutura, that is why I did not recommend the name Magnum. We recommended Magnus. It also sounds like Agnis, which I also did not recommend.

Its interesting to hear what the guys think on names, they see it soo differently than us girls.
