Re:Milk?

In Canada we have La Leche. It is a support system, for new moms. Teaches us how to breastfeed. When I gave birth to my sons, the nurses recommended latching the baby a few hours after giving birth. There is a yellowish cream, that is recommended for the babie to get from us, antibodies I was told, so I started breast feeding that day. Then 22 months later I weaned them. I have allergies - am Celiac, and Lactose Intolerant, so I had to be very careful in introducing foods, and for me, there was no other option, than to breastfeed my babes. It was in the best interest of the baby, naturally.
When I had sore nipples, I would put a wet tea bag on my nursing shield, and wear it till the next feeding. There is a natural healing enzyme in the tea. It was also very important for my breasts, to keep them warm, not allow cold wind to blow on them, my grandma told me that, and to cover up with a blanket while feeding, so breast does not get chilled, causes mastitis!
Breastfeeding is so easy, no warming bottle, sterilizing, mixing, refridgerating if travelling, just an easy meal on the go. Anywhere, as long as you cover up - and wear 2 layered tops.
Sorry, Milk to my family, was a Big NO NO. Did you know that human beings are the only mammal that drinks another mammals milk?
