Lame Name?? By mommytotwo 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Ive always loved the name Keegan for a boy. I want to give him my hubbys middle name and of coarse last but thats where the trouble is... Keegan Christian Reagan. Now to me it doesnt sound awful and so what if people say Keegan Reegan? Well i dont want to regret giving him this name years to come so please give me your thoughts!

Re:Lame Name?? By missushump 3 Years, 9 Months Ago Keegan Reagan is not great... at all.
Sometimes we have to give up names we love because our surnames don't work with them. I'm sure you'll find a name you like that jives with Reagan. Want suggestions?

Re:Lame Name?? By susieqzee 3 Years, 9 Months Ago I agree with misshump that the names Keegan and Reagan are very similar and when one looks quickly they may do as you say and see keegan Reegan. BUT, if if it is a name you absolotely love, people will adjust and just be correted. Look at all the people who name their kids John Johnson, Tom Thompson, etc. At least there is a difference in yours.
You might, should you decide to scrap Keegan, look at Irish and Celtic names and find ones similar to Keegan, like Kieran, or others and see if you find something you love as well. Follow your heart, say it aloud a lot, write it a lot and talk it over with your husband. Good luck

By Sam 3 Years, 9 Months Ago I have to agree with the others its too similar and sounds a little odd. Sometimes you just have to ditch a name you love becuase it just doesnt work with the last name. My sister always loved Daniel as a name then married a man with Daniels as a last name and had to abandon the idea of having a little Danny. Keegan just might have to suffer the same fate in ur case unless you just cannot bring yourself to part with it.
I like the idea of trying another celtic name. or u could go for something with the same meaning. or another idea if u just dont want to loose keegan switch it to the middle name. it still sounds funny but how often in life is someone ever refered to by their entire name? Good luck

Re:Lame Name?? By puck 3 Years, 9 Months Ago they do sound quite similar, but i dont see it as a problem really. i dont see how he could be teased for it. it is kind of odd, but people will adjust if you really have your heart set on it. my husbands cousin is named Ross Nathan Ross. the worst thats come of that is he's nicknamed R&R, and it suits him.

Re:Lame Name?? By I love my justin, carter 3 Years, 9 Months Ago You have to remember that when you name your child you need to think about what will kids in school say or do cus kids are mean and like to make fun. And this is a name they will make fun of and unfortuneatly that will create they kind of person a child can become. if a child is constantly made fun of there is a huge chance that this child will have low self esteem. Which is probably why I dont like unique or made up names or names propusly missed spelled cus they dont think about the outcome of how kids in school will be to them
