a) 1 syllable - example - Megain Ann (or in your case Megahan Kate) b) 2 syllable - second syllable accentuated - breaking the 2 syllable monotony of Megahann Marie, creating sing-songy-ness For interest sake, these are the top ten middle names used: (1 - 10 numbers represent ranking for middle names. (parenthesis) number shows its ranking on first names list.) 1. Marie (0) 2. Elizabeth (10) 3. Ann (0) 4. Lynn (0) 5. Lee (0) 6. May (0) 7. Nicole (17) 8. Renee (0) 9. Michelle (18) 10. Therefore, Katherine is name #11, on the 100 top baby girls names, and #10 on second name data base set. The decision is yours, I would go with something more unique personally. More 1 syllable names I recommend: Belle, Bliss, Cai, Cass, Greer, Lark, Maueve, Pearl, Rue, Wynne. - Genevra

Meghann Mikayla Meghann Kayla Meghann Kay (husbands fav) Meghann Kaylor Meghann Frances I prefer at least a two sylable name. My husband likes Kay after his mother Kay Frances. But his niece is named Sara Kay and I would like our daughter to have a differnt middle name. My favorite is Meghann Michaela, because I would like to name our daughter after my husband. As a comprimise I suggested Meghann Mikayla, that way she would be named after both of them. I also suggest Kayla, Kaylor, and Frances but he has shot everything down. I think I got a maybe on Frances, not sure? I would love more help, but I'm not sure what to ask for.  I would love more opinions on the above names.

Re:Middle name for Meghann By Melanie0205 3 Years, 8 Months Ago I really don't like Meghann, no matter how it's spelled, and it sounds very similar to Morgann. I like Mikayla, and IT sounds good with Morgann. How about:

I did it on purpose for Morgann's name but for any of our future childeren I would like to name them after other people in our family.
