dont worry yourself. the medical industry has made huge strides. my daughter was born at 30 weeks +1 day, and she is perfectly fine now. we are not sure what caused it, as my first son was born at 27 weeks (he passed due to serious medical issues nothing to do with when he was born), and then my second son was born at 41 weeks. it is hard to leave the hospital without your baby/babies, but with the right care they will be home with you soon enough. 37 weeks is considered full term, and you do have a good chance of making it that far. babies born at 21 weeks have survived, miracles do happen every day.

I do know that they say that girls that are born early tend to do much better than boys for some reason my daughter was 4 weeks early and never went in the nicu or had jaundice she was fine so dont stress so much

First of all let's get one thing out in open- Having sex does not cause premature birth. Any doc that tells you that is wrong. Some people can just carry to full term & some can't. I did everything right, no smoking, no drinking, vitamins, all doc visits, etc., & mine was still born a month early. He is now 16 & healthy as a horse. Quit worrying, its not good for baby, & keep taking prenatal
vitamins, no smoking & drinking, no drugs, etc. go to all check-ups & eat right & you will have a healthy baby. If its born a little early, everthing will be ok. Pray that your baby will be healthy & it will . Take care.

LISA, I DON'T THINK THAT THEY MEANT THAT HAVING SEX ALONE WAS A CAUSE OF PREMATURE BIRTH BUT THAT SHE WAS HAVING PROBLEMS(DILATING OR THINNING OUT) AND HER DOCTOR TOLD HER TO STOP HAVING SEX AND SHE DIDN'T SO BY HAVING SEX IT CAUSED HER TO DILATE OR THIN OUT MORE AND GO INTO PREMATURE LABOR. WHICH IS WHY THEY TELL YOU TO HAVE SEX IF YOU ARE OVERDUE BECAUSE THERE IS A PROTEIN IN SPERM THAT THINS THE CERVIX. HOPE THIS HELPS
