So how painful is it
By Big Ryan 3 Years, 7 Months Ago
Hello girls,

I'm pretty bored right now so I'll ask a question. Natalia has already been very kean on the idea of edidural free, knife free all natural birth. How painful is it? My friend (who has a kid)already told me that I shouldn't let her squeeze my hand because since I play guitar and I can't afford to break it.

peace and love Ryan

Trust me Ryan, when she is giving birth to your two beautiful babes, you will let Natalia do whatever she wants. You will let her hold, anything she needs, to get this done, for you.

Remember, you are there for her, and some of us actually preferred a little destresser squeeze ball. Just remember you are there to support her, and she will do what she needs to do - I would suggest you both sign up for Lamaze Breathing classes. If Natalie wants to do this naturally, support her, and go find resources to assist to achieve her goal. It can be done naturally. Talk to the Health Centre in your area.

Hi Ryan,
Yes, there is pain and each of us handles it differently and each baby is different. It depends on many facotrs. I had four and never had to use an epidural. I agree with genevra 1000% that you BOTH need to attend birthing classes. Some are called Lamaze still, others are Prepared child birth classes, which are basically the same. I did not take the course with my 1st, so I had no clue what to expect. The last three were so much better since I took the course. Preperaton is knowledge. She wants to own the pain and not let the pain own her. And if she changes her mind mid labor and wants and epidural that is ok too. It won't mean she wimps out.It means she has reached her limit.
I tried to tell my girls that when the bearing down and pushing begins, it feels like you are taking the biggest B.M. of your life. Seriously. So the breathing techniques will aid her thru this.
As for your hand....it will survive. You will play again!

Only she can determine that.
