I know it's frightening to be told that, and as a mother your initial reaction is to imagine the worst, but the first thing you need to try to do is relax, for both you and the baby.
Modern medicine has made incredible developements and a baby born at 35 weeks stands an extremely good chance of being happy, healthy and normal. Technically, it's just 3 weeks early, and while he/she may require some incubation, and worst case even a little oxygen, I'm sure that everything will be fine.

My son was born at 29 weeks. And while he spent 6 weeks in ICU and was on full life support he survived and is now functioning and developing at the same level as other 13 month old babies. Babies are much stronger then we give them credit for, and have an innate sense of survival. (Also, keep in mind that it's said that prem babies are often smarter and more strong willed then their counterparts!).

I hope everything goes well, and please shout if you need help with anything.

My first was born at 35 weeks, 3 days. He was considered a "big preemie" at 5lb. 13 oz. During my labor the nurse kept telling me that he may have to go to the NICU and there were lots of extra doctors around when he was born. Luckily, he had no complications and went home the next day with just a touch of jaundice. He's always been off the the chart tiny, and that has continued. He's now a 70lb. 12 year old, but has always been very healthy. They come when they're ready.

my daughter was born at 29 weeks and i can tell u that at 35 weeks ur babe should be fighting fit, by that stage their lungs are soft they have the sucking reflex and are a decent weight, ur stressing, and thats gonna be worse than anything..
just relax and trust in ur body and ur baby and ur doctor..

Seaason

and p.s. mt daugher will turn 4 this xmas eve and she has caught up in weight and height, shes no different than other kids her age, bigger than some, so its genes not nessecarily birth weight that is a determining factor.. and u sed ur tiny anyway, so that wont b a big deal either

I had my daughter at 36 weeks 5lbs 6oz she was fine no jaundice, no nicu your baby should be fine. they also say that girls tend to do better if they are early more so than boys but 35 weeks is not that bad you have 2 weeks leway on your due date anyway
