Ella responded very well with the surfrant and got one of her breathing tubes taken out. Since she doesn't have both breathing tubes in now there is high chance of her contracting bronchitis, because since her lungs are so small and developing on their own there is more of a chance of mucis build up. Ella is gaining weight which makes me happy, because I can see where she's kind of filling out into her body. Her personality of the girl's is deffinatly the shy momma's girl.
Shea who was the healthier twin in the womb isn't responding as quickly to the surfrant so she has both breathing tubes in. Shea's eyes are rarely open because as in my words she isn't into the bright lights. Shea likes people a lot more, the babies' skin is getting tough enough to touch so today we were actually getting to touch her, she is deffinatly the more social of the girls.

Tomarrow both babies go under what I call that mega light thing, it has a real name but I forget what it is, anyway they get to wear those weird sun glasses/eye covering thing. Now that their skin is tougher they'll be getting a lot more heat and light therapies. I'm very excited if both respond well we get to start kangaroo care!!!!
Also both babies might be anemic so they are also getting tested for that tomarrow.
