Hi everyone,

Halloween is just around the corner. All your kids must be so excited. I hope they have fun.

Anyway, I was wondering, do your kids have any weird habits when they eat candy? Such as, only eating the chocolate bars or lollipops? What is the routine when you get home? Do they get to eat some right away? Or what?

Just want to know. I'm interested in hearing your stories.

My kids don't eat candy, its unhealthy, artificial, and most of it isn't Vegan. I am a vegan and raising my kids vegan as well.

Hi im not a mother yet but i can tell you my familys habits
we have 6 kids still living at home ranging in age from 6 to 16 so we still go trick or treating & at my house we are only allowed to eat a small amount of candy after we get home because of course given there choice my brothers would eat all there candy in less than 24 hours & there is no one in my house picky enough to just eat one kind of candy but the tradition in my house is we all sit on the floor in our living room dump the candy out separate it & trade with each other & give our parents the candy they like & whatever we dont like & then eat whatever they let us eat & then run around acting insane till the candy rush is over lol

we sort thru it all, and my daughter gets one piece on halloween. she might get 5 pieces altogether out of all of it. we trade her candy for something better, like fruit snacks or yogurt cups etc, and the candy 'disappears' never to be seen again.

Well we always sort thru the cndy before eating it. Last year y son was only months old so th cand went o dad and wil o the same this year.I dont like my son eatin anthing too unhealthy.Trickor treating is mostly for fun. I think mos people il agree with that

well i live in AUS and basically no one over here goes trick or treating. i mean ive seen it in movies and stuff but have never done it. we've never had anyone knock on our door and i dont think ive even seen some one trick or treating. its not really a big thing at all over here. but they still have all the halloween lollies (we dont call it candy) and costumes in the shops but basically no one goes trick or treating (mostly just buy the lollies to eat it lol). just thought id share that, since all you Americans are talking bout it .
