I have used the same brand of pacifiers for all 4 of my kids and will be doing so no longer. I won't say the name of the brand but it is the type with no little handle on it and it has a button with the design on the back. Tonight I noticed a discoloration on the inside of the nipple on one. Out of curiosity DH broke the button off and underneath was pink mold. He picked up another one that looked absolutely fine and broke the back off and underneath it was filled with black mildew. I was absolutely disgusted since both pacifiers are less than a month old have been steam sterilized and sent the dishwasher on heat dry multiple times. Needless to say we won't be using pacifiers in this form made by any company ever again. I saved them both in a ziploc bag to send back to the company. I wanted to let everyone know so no little ones get sick. So check your pacifiers everyone.

can you please pm me with the brand as i work with lots of little kids who have pacifiers and we dont need the blame if a child gets sick. I know it sounds harsh but it is for their safety aswell.
