i need advice
By Nakita 3 Years, 6 Months Ago
My two year old son is very sick with the flu, the doctor said no dairy or meats, just bread, rice, cracker, and soup, simple things that are easy to diegest, and a lttle at a time. The problem is my son loves his bottles of milk, and it is breaking my haert when he keeps crying, and says"Mom,a baba,a baba"he wont stop crying. I want him to be happy and not crying but I also don't want to give him milk because he will end up throwing it up about an hour after he drinks it? Any solutions?

Awww poor little guy Does he take anything else in his bottle? Like apple juice or water? Cause yeah, I've heard milk isn't good on the stomach for someone who has the flu

like Emily said try juice or water, also maybe ask ur GP ((MD in US)) if he could have soy milk? as it doesnt have lactose in it so its not likely to make him congested and vomit?

Not realy i try to give him juice, but he knows the colour,he loves his milk, he wont drink water or ginger ale. he knows if he drinks something he will throw it up so he don;t want any thing but then he gets to thursty he just wants milk. the one thing that he can;t have and he wont stop crying and saying.. mommy,a baba, and i can;t do any thing about it. i hate when they are sick, it breaks my haert.

He will not drink water, he did and throw it up, so he know thinks that if he drinks it he will throw up again, he is very smart. he is too smart some times, i tried water, juice, ginger ale,he will not drink anything.

Maybe its time for the sippy cup.
Mix 1/2 apple juice, 1/2 water. Or Iced Tea, when he is sick. In Canada, all our Iced Tea is sweetened, so I would try that.
My doctor always said, the BRAT diet, if child sick.
Bananas Rice Apple Juice Tea
Hope he gets better soon. (I'd cube some Granny Smith Apples for him)
