She needs consequences for her actions.
Try time-outs. Take things she loves away. I know it's hard, and you don't want to upset her, but YOU are in charge. NOT her. Remember that.

Sometimes children have to be sad to learn how to behave. It won't harm her..it'll better her.

Advice someone gave me:

WHEN YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO LISTEN, WHISPER.

This is sooooo true. Say what you mean, mean what you say! Be direct, tell her "this family is not ruled by a two year old, that you make the rules, and she will have her turn when she is 22." Get down to her level, look her right in the eyes, hold her hands, gently, and Whisper those words to her. Keep focused on her eyes, when you are whispering, then when you are done, count to 10, still looking at her, then say Alright? Then ask her to do what you wanted, again. You are having a Power Struggle with this little one. You don't want to break her spirit, you just want her to understand you rule - with dignity and grace. When you yell, you have lost control. Always maintain control - of yourself, then your child. Hope this works for you, I raised 3 boys, using this method, and it worked well for us. Little ones really want to do what we need them too, but they need clear directives.

I forgot to say, never yell at her in front of anyone else. I always took my son of concern, into the other room, and got down and held his hands and whispered to him. You do not want to embarrass yourself or your child. Grace and dignity, both ways.

u say she a very intelligent girl...
have u tried things like kindergarten? or playgroup? it will occupy her mind AND tire her out..
or maybe a group for advanced children to start her on her way to things like reading and so on, if shes is very intelligent, she may be acting out due to boredom....
but that said, dont let her walk all over you, if the cycle isnt broken now u will have hell to go thru during the teenage years...

best of luck
they dont call 'em "the terrible twos" for nothin....lol
