First, I have no idea how it can "logically" effect a person, unless of course you meant psychologically, in which case you would have covered in by emotionally, but whatever.

Second, the social issue. Bullies like to make fun of weak people, once a child stands up for themselves, bullies will generally leave them alone, and I know this from personal experience. But the psychology factor is, a bully would rather pick on an easy target. Since it would be my daughter in question, I know I won't have to worry about this, since my family has this problem with being stepped on, or be pushed around.

And the third problem you stated being professionally. I know a lawyer with the name Falyn, and she's doing just fine. Granted she is where I first heard the name, so yes, I am copying her, but still it goes to prove that you can do "professional" jobs and still have a strange name.

So I'm really not overly concerned about anything you mentioned, since I have just justified everything you think I should be worried about.

Also, I would like to...thank you, for telling me it would be a dumb idea to name my child what I please, thats so sweet.

Second, I too am a bit sketchy about the middle names, they just happened to be what Hubby and I have decided on for now. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I am somewhat stuck with Rain, so if you have any suggestions using that as one of the middle names I would be thrilled to hear them.

Yeah I actually didn't even think about puting the pronounciations in the main post, but I fixed it now.

I have always responded to your post that I like Fallon Raine - and it sounds like you are pretty well decided on that, so congrats. For the second middle name, I would use a 3 or 4 syllable.

I'm not even going to respond to that. I'm sick to death of people coming after one another. I was only trying to give my honest opinion, which is what you wanted. I don't care what you name her, I never said it was dumb. You name her what you want, I was only giving you what you asked, and I did not deserve to be targeted in that way. I now know how it feels. I'd prefer:

"Thank you for your honesty, lemonicegelato."

That's what a mature person would do and I surely hope your children will learn from that mistake. THank you.
