Re:what can I give a sick 2 month old!! By Seaason 3 Years, 6 Months Ago also a good thing to try would be to close up ur bathroom windows & doors and turn on the hot water in the shower put the plug in and add a few drops of eucalyptus & lavender oil in the bottom, & just sit in the bathroom with her, the steam & eucalyptus help her breathe easier and the lavender will relax her & that may help her get some rest, and you too...

Re:what can I give a sick 2 month old!! By ashleym09 3 Years, 6 Months Ago Also you can get nasal drops from your local store they are called Little Noses Saline Drops. Put one drop in each nostril in the morning, afternoon, and before bed. Wait about a minute after you do it and suck her nose out with the blue ball syringe. Push fluids with her. I know shes only two months but try to give her a little water and juice. You dont want to give them too much milk because that can help build up mucus. Get a humidifier to run in her room at night to put some moisture in the air and put her in the bathroom and run hot water to steam it up. Try to do that about every hour or so. Also you can get baby vicks rub and put it on the bottom of her feet when she goes to bed and put her socks on after you rub it in. It sounds like alot but I do these things with my daughter when she gets a little cold and it never lasts long. You dont always need medicine to help a child out just a few tips. I hate giving my daughter medicine it scares me. Shes 2 years old and has only had antibiotics once for an ear infection and only had about 3 little colds so I think that Im doing pretty good for my first child!! Just try those things and see what happens. Just make sure you wash the vicks off her before going outside. Also if you have a fan on at night turn it on low and dont face it towards her crib this causes ear infections to get worse. Good luck...

Re:what can I give a sick 2 month old!! By silversky32 3 Years, 6 Months Ago Ack!! don't give the baby motrin. They aren't supposed to have it until after 6 months old. They can have infant Tylenol. Also be careful with the vapor rub. They can have a reaction to it if its placed directly on the skin. Instead put a little on a onesie and put a clean one between that one and her skin. Use Lil Noses ( or another brand) of nose drops and suction. The steamy bathroom or a cool mist humidifier are great ideas. Also, if you're nursing then do so as much as possible to keep her fluids up. Call your doctor if she has even a low grade fever. A 2 month old baby needs to be watched closely so I would take her to the doc anyway.

Re:what can I give a sick 2 month old!! By happytohelp 3 Years, 6 Months Ago You should ask your doctor for advice , i have given all my boys that at some point and after a while they gradually/quickly recovered.
