For Some tips on names, I'm thinking not something really over-used and boring like Anna or Joe, but not something like Sparkle or Moonshine, because your child will adore her/his name until shes about 7, and then get unmercifully teased about it.
So I like a name that's not TOO unusual but is still cute when you're young, but will be considered respectable when you are an adult.
So i would recommend names like Malorie, George, Gabrielle, or Jasper.
Hope it helped!
XOXO Lindsay

I suggest using names like Mallorie or Fiona. They are uncommon but not over the top weirdo out there. If you give child a name like Maylootian, he/she will not be taken seriosly.
A university did a study sending out job applications. They had the same contents. Exept for the names. First they sent out the aplications with names like Michael John. More of these "people" got hired. They sent out the same applications to the same companies with names like LaRomie or Tesertia. Less of those "people" got hired even though they were the same applications. See what I mean?

If you give a child a "weird" name, be sure to give them a normal midle name. Remember that your child is not an eternal child. He/she will grow up. Names like Lexa will fit a child and not an adult. Names like Katherine fit an adult better than a child. Imagine you with the name and think of the stages of your life.
A child.
A teen.
An Adult.
An elder.
On a tombstone.
Kids can be mean.

Take my advice. It never fails to help.

Now I sound Like a fortune teller.

'Why?"

What i think is most important in a name is for an invisable question mark to be always present. Not literally, but such as, HUNTER FALLYN. why is ehr name hunter? why fallyn? make people wonder and admire special and unique traits in names. Never settle for anne or lynn or sarah. and if you want to, spell differently

My advice is to stick with the traditional spelling of a name. You don't want your child to be constantly correcting someone of how to say or spell their name. Everyone is trying to be creative these days, but changing the usual spelling of a name i.e. Levi to Leighvi is a little much. Find a name you love and leave it that way. It will be easier for your child, their teachers, co-workers, etc.
