Unfortunately, that may be the best thing to do.

I have read that the irregular periods may settle after 3months, so doctors generally advise waiting 3-4months until making a decision about removal. I will definatley be going to the doctor if it doesnt settle!

Ew. One week is bad enough. I think the best thing owuld have been to not get it in the first place, it sounds disgusting even if everything had been normal. EXTRA hormones? Yuck. Deffinitely ask your doctor about getting it removed. Hopefully they won't make you wait a full year, I've heard they do that sometimes. If they tell you that, argue with them until they take it out.

The docotr recommended it, as when you have a baby you are likely to forget to take the pill

If my doctor ever suggested that for me I'd put my foot down and say flat out no. I'd go to great lengths to remember the pill, notes on the fridge, leave it somewhere out of the way of kids but where I'd find it, SOMETHING. Sorry, I just really hate the idea of something like that. I honestly don't even like the pill.
