Hey I am thinking about starting formula.. would like some advice from experienced moms. What is the best formula? also - any experience with advent bottles?

We used Advent bottle and they worked fine. We used Enfimil formula, but only because they kept sending us free ones in the mail and our pediatrisian said it was fine as long as it was the one with the iron.

But if it were up to me we would not have used any formula. I was pressured it to it by my mother-in-law and it will be something I regret for the rest of my life.

im 20 and a mother of a 2 year old and a 7 month old, our doctor told us that the parents choice brand of formula from wal-mart or even the krogers brand, has the exact same thing that enfimil and all the other brands have, and its about $10 cheaper. Also Dr. Brown bottles work really good, they have a plastic part in the middle that keeps the baby from sucking air,you can find those a Target, Wal-mart, and Burlington Coat Factory. my children were both breast feed for only about 2 months before formula and they have both done wonderful, breast milk is great but theres nothing wrong with formula. My daughter is 2 years old and has only been sick once. so trust me, off brand is just as good as expencive brands and that came straight from my childrens doctor!!!!

I have seen these new bottles that are just like the mothers nipples, and they look like they would work wonderous, but I forgot the name brand of it, but I saw them at Wal-Mart.
