You're absolutely correct that I'm not going to agree with you! Why should this evil man be afforded the luxury of living?! Three meals a day, time in the gym, social time to interact with others, watch TV, get a book from the library, educational classes where he might even earn a degree, all things his daughter will never be able to do, and paid for with law-abiding citizens tax dollars!

You're willing to take a chance that he won't breakout of prison and go after his other children?! Are you willing to take a chance that he'll not get off on a technicality, and go after someone else's children?! Are you willing to take a chance that he'll not get out on an early release program, and come after YOUR children?!

Oh, you say you live in Texas? Maybe,...but I can guarantee you weren't born here, because in all of my 51 yrs, I've never heard a true Texan spew such garbage.

Then you have the audacity to tell me that I'M horrific?! This maniac hasn't even been tried yet, but what's truly horrific, is the terrifying death of this precious 4 yr old little girl who died at the hands of her own father, while her brothers watched! What's horrific is your coddling of a sadist who murders innocent children!

Okay, so "your" was not the right word to use! I didn't mean you're horrific for thinking that, I was going more for along the lines of putting someone to death is horrific and the people who do it are horrible! I mean the whole concept of watching the life drain out of someone and being the cause for a punishment I don't understand. I think it's horrible to do.

I don't agree with what he did by any shape size or form, that's for sure, but I think he should be able to live. There are people out there who commit way worse crimes then him, the women who killed all 5 of her children, the people who toture other people to death and they live. I don't believe what he did was right nor do I believe what any others did was right, but I think the death penalty is just as bad as what they did. It's murder no matter what, and murder is what I don't agree with anyway most likely if he went to jail he would be killed. Other prisoners don't take too lightly the idea of hurting children.

And you are right, I'm not from Texas. I don't like Texas too much. It's okay. My family migrated over from Iceland to Chicago when I was little and I've lived in Chicago most of my life and moved to tx because I of my dads job and my school is here now.
But I've heard Texans born and raised here not agree with the death penalty of course they were all around my age.. Which is what I am told is probably why.

Your comment makes no sense. It's ok if he's killed in jail by another inmate (stabbed, blugeoned, shot with a zip gun), but it's horrific if he's euthanized by lethal injection?!

As you get older you'll realize that there are inherently evil people, and that there are also good people who (for whatever reason) do evil things. These are individuals who infringe upon the inalienable rights of others to commit atrocities, and somtimes, the only way to stop these people and ensure the safety of the innocent is to put them down like the animals they are. I agree that there are people who have committed worse crimes, however, it doesn't make his crime any less horrific. That is a good example of what I was trying to explain to you. Those others should've received the death penalty, too. Surely, you don't believe that since one criminal was able to work the system that every criminal thereafter should avoid just punishment. Surely, you don't believe that since a murderer of 2 people somehow managed to receive a lenient sentence that a murderer of one should not be sentenced at all?

And tell me why law-abiding citizens should have to spend their hard earned money on keeping these people housed, fed, and entertained. There are citizens who are barely able to feed their families in this economy, who can't afford a doctor visit for themselves or their children, but they're supposed to provide medical care (and dental, and a vision plan) for prisoners?!

These people who have no respect for others lives are not deserving of your consideration. You've got it backwards child. Instead of spending your time being concerned about this sociopathic lunatic, perhaps, you could spend some time doing something constructive for the innocent survivors.

I must say..I believe it would be much easier to see this guy get a lethal injection than watching a 4 yr old get thrown off a bridge, but hey,..that's me. So remember...if you can't watch a death penalty sentence being carried out,...I CAN.

It seems like as the years go by, people just keep geting more sadistic and crazy, what type of person could even begin to think to do this to anyone, let alone a child? What that man did to his daughter is inhumane. And for her brothers to be there and witness it is just cruel on a whole different level. I couldn't begin to imagine the guilt those boys must feel and having that memory in your head for the rest of your life.

There was a case like this a few years back. A woman in a near by city had actually forced her 12 year old son to tie up his 9 year old sister with an extension cord while his mother set the house on fire! It was crazy. The mother was acquitted because she was supposedly "off her meds" when she did this so the went after the son and tried to charge the 12 year old with attempted murder because he should've known right from wrong when he tied his sister up! That's just horrible and I couldn't even imagine how I could ever do that to my children! I couldn't live with myself, whether I was "off my meds" not.

I agree with BridgetKatherine. I'm against the death penalty for a lot of different reasons, but incidents like these that are becoming "normal" just makes me wonder why people that cruel, sadistic, and heartless are allowed to live.

You wonder why they're allowed to live? Really?! Look in the mirror "Miss, I'm against the death penalty". You (and Bridget) are the one's keeping them alive, not me. Honestly, you wonder why they're allowed to live, but yet, you whine and rail against the death penalty! I can promise you I'd have no problem whatsoever, tossing that baby killer off a bridge, let alone administering lethal injection medication, flipping a switch, pulling a trigger, or string up a hangman's noose!

Sometimes you young ones make comments that make me want to beat my head against the wall, so full of passion, but lacking in any kind of sense. I dare say, that if it was YOUR child that was tortured or murdered you should like to remove the man's skin from his body with your fingernails whilst spraying him with alcohol, but if it's someone else's child...WELL, we must be proper and politically correct. We musn't offend or hurt the feelings of the poor, unfortunate, and misunderstood baby killer. UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE!!!

Sometimes I don't reply to things like this because it is so painful for me just in my mind and heart to imagine it all. So I don't want to get in a drawn out discussion of these awful things because it makes me sick almost.
