For your nursey theme, Google "Pixie Hollow". It's an online game for young children (my youngest grandaughter used to play). The scenery is absolutely beautiful! You could do some kind of outdoor fairy theme. They have snow covered mountain fairies, fairy orchard, fairy grove, fairy by the stream, etc. Take a look at the website, you can play free as a guest so you can take a look around.

Here's a list that I posted yesterday for another member.

Crib (or bassinet)

Bedding (for the crib and/or bassinet. At least 2 sets)

Receiving Blankets (these are inexpensive, small, lightweight blankets. At least 4)

Bumper pads (for the crib)

Mobile (to hang over the crib)

Playpen

Car Seat

Baby Carrier

Stroller

High Chair

Baby Swing (great for colic)

Baby Monitor

Diaper Bag

Diapers & Wipes

Bottles (Even if your going to breastfeed you'll need these for water. When he gets a bit older you'll use them for juice.

Bibs & Burp Cloths

Formula (if you not going to breastfeed. I used Enfamil w/Iron, but ask your doctor what he recommends.)

Pacifier

Onesies (short & with feet. At least 10. I used these for everyday because newborns have such sensitive skin, and they're really soft. My son was also, a redhead which made the whole sensitive skin thing even worse.)

Outfits (good to have a few of these for pictures, or special outings. At least 7)

Socks

Booties, or some kind of shoe

Knit Hat

Johnson Tearless Baby Shampoo

Johnson Baby Lotion

A & D Ointment (this is the best stuff ever for diaper rash!)

Bulb Syringe (for sucking stuff out of his nose if he's sick)

Thermometer

Babies can't regulate their body temperature very well when they're an infant. That's the reason for all the receiving blankets, hat, onesies and socks.
Some of this stuff (high chair, playpen) you can wait on if you're on a tight budget.
I tried to be thorough, but I'm 51 yrs old, it's been a while since I've done this.

Go to roomzaar.com/ratemyspace

It's a GREAT place to look at nurseries done by REAL moms and dads...not pictures set up in a catalog! I do interior design on the side, and get a lot of inspiration from this site! On the left-hand side of the page will be all the categories...choose nurseries! You can short by newest, top-rated, etc.

I've been browsing for nursery ideas myself...there are some great ones!
