Hi everybody!!!

I just heard these two names today:

Sommerlyn (pronounced summer-lin)
Scotlyn (scott-lin)

Any thoughts or opinions? After thinking about both, I like Scotlyn, most likely because it is close to my favorite name, Irelyn (both are country names with "lyn" at the end). I think Sommerlyn is cute, too.

So, what do YOU think???

Scotlyn is cute! My cousin's daughter's name is Scottie. She is named after her father, Scott. Although it's not something I really cared for...she's such a beautiful little girl and it works so well on her! They ended up naming her just "Scottie" after they couldn't find a longer version that they liked. Too bad I hadn't heard this before she was born!

It is quite a bit like Irelyn, which is very cute!

I'm not a big fan of Sommerlyn...it's too much, IMO.

I like Scotlyn, and if you had twins, you could name them Scotlyn and Irelyn! Not too crazy about Sommerlyn...it's just okay.

Colbi-it's too bad that your cousin didn't think of Scotlyn; it sounds like it would be so cute on her!!! and after thinking about Sommerlyn for a little while longer, I agree that it is a little much for a little girl.

Angel-I was thinking the same thing!!! I LOVE the name Irelyn and I plan for it to be the name of my first daughter, and I was thinking that it would be so cool if they were twins and I named the other one Scotlyn!!! They'd both have cool country names!!!

Scotlyn is really cool!!! I might have to add that to my list... Sommerlynn...not so much.

Adele: If you had another daughter you could name her Britain, and if you had a son you could name him Wales, Irish, or Scot.
