Hello everybody

I'm trying to come up with a name for my character, and I think I've found the perfect one:
Aurelia


Any thoughts or opinions on the name? Also, how would you pronounce it? At first I thought aw-rell-ee-ah but then I looked it up and it said uh-rail-ya. There were a few others too. Just wondering what's the right one???

Also, my character will have a sweet personality and be very well-liked by her classmates. She'll be in the 7th-9th grade range.

That's funny you asked about the pronunciation, because I have always wondered if I'm pronouncing it correctly, but haven't bothered to look it up. I say it like "aw REAL ee uh". ?

I like it! It reminds me of the character "Aeriel" from the Little Mermaid. Not just the similarity of the name but the personality too.

I pronounce it the same way you do, Adele. I think it's really pretty and don't think there's really a "right" way to pronounce it, just whatever you like best.

My niece's name is Aurelia...and it's my absolute favorite girls name!

We pronounce it aw-rail-ya or aw-rail-ee-uh... depending on who's saying it. Either way works well!

All of the different pronunciations really sound pretty much the same, to be honest. I've heard people pronounce it aw-RAY-lee-uh, aw-REL-ee-uh, and aw-REEL-ee-uh. And it all comes out close enough, lol.

I do prefer the pronunciation aw-rail-ee-uh, though
