A few questions. By unique names 10 Months, 1 Week Ago Lately with a few posts I've been a bit confused. Mainly because I can't remember or I don't know where everyone is in the world. lol. What I mean is that, I live in canada, it's the summer here, it's HOT!, and I'm out of school. When I read that some of you are wearing jumpers (I'm taking it's not a dress (USA word), but rather a sweater (British word)), I'm a little lost. Then a few of you are in school and have class like on Monday, and some of you ladies are saying it's freezing where you live. lol.
I was wondering, Where do you live, (country), Is it hot, warm, cold, freezing? Are you in school? Oh, and what's a dummy? A pascifier?

Re:A few questions. By Shann 10 Months, 1 Week Ago I Live in Australia, where it is the middle of winter at the moment. It's usually quite hot in summer, but I'm from the coldest part of Australia so it doesn't get as hot as everywhere else. Right now, I am freeeeeezing! This morning I woke up to what looked like snow everywhere, but it was ice. So it's all coats, scarves and gloves right now where I live!
I don't go to school, as I finished college a couple of years ago, but here it is the middle of the school year. We start in Feb and go until Nov/Dec and then have Summer holidays from Nov/Dec until the start to mid Feb. A dummy is a pacifier, Everyone I know calls it a dummy, so I'm not sure if it's just an Aussie thing or if other countries say it, too!

Re:A few questions. By Jayah 10 Months Ago I'm also in Australia, but I'm in Melbourne which is a warmer part than Shann's in but still bloody cold right now.
I'm in highschool, we've only just finished our winter/semester holiday of two weeks and as I'm writing this its monday afternoon/evening (soon to be 6pm). I think they call it a dummy in the UK as well? I'm not sure but I think thats where we got it from.

Re:A few questions. By emily. 10 Months Ago I live in Australia where its the middle of winter. I live in Victoria, 2 hours from Melbourne and about 3 hours from Mt. Hotham (well known ski resort). I live in the country in a farming district. We've got hills all around us.
I'm in school, year 12 (my final year). Our schooling system starts at the start of the year, end of January. In April we have 2 weeks holidays, in June-July we have 2 weeks holidays, September we have 2 weeks holidays and then finish in December where we have 6-8 weeks off before starting the new year in a new year level. A dummy is a pacifier.

Re:A few questions. By Auntieofsix 10 Months Ago I live in Wales, UK. It is the end of July here, which is meant to be the middle of summer! But it still rains nearly all time and isn't boiling hot like it use to be during the summer a few years ago!. Exactly today it is sunny and warmish
I have just finished my first year(year 12) of A levels in school. I go back in September now to do another year in school(year 13), and then I finish for good in may next year. So we're are currently in the first week into our 6-8 weeks off. Yes a dummy is a pacifer. We call them dummies here in Britain too.
