So now I understand why an american tourist was referring to Noah's dummy/pacifier as a binky!

I have never heard of anyone calling a dress a jumper I guess some dresses are over sized or long jumpers/sweaters, though. To me, a jumper is a sweater, I suppose you would say! It can be a hoodie, or the same as a hoodie, minus the hood part I had no idea it was different for different places, I always assumed it was just the same for everyone

I really liked Alisamber's format here so I'm going to steal it. Hope that's ok.

Where do you live- Midwestern U.S.; Nebraska to be more exact.
Is it hot, warm, cold, freezing- it's really hot. Recently it's been in the 100's F.
Are you in school- no, I'm not in school anymore (at least for now), but school here runs from mid-late August or beginning of September to mid-May or early June with a couple weeks break around Christmas and New Years.
What's a dummy?- To me a dummy is a person who's not all that intelligent (or at least doesn't act like they are; my brother is one of the dumbest smart people I know). I know people in other places call a pacifier a dummy, but to me a pacifier is either called a pacifier or a binky, usually a binky.
What's a jumper?- (loved Alisamber's answer) When I think of a jumper in terms of clothes I think of a 1-piece outfit that girls wear that's similar to overalls, but you don't have to wear a shirt underneath (usually has one attached, or has longer sleeves). It doesn't necessarily have to be a dress, but it can be.

I found this so interesting! My husband just happened to send this to my email the other day because he knows I'm into words and stuff so much. I just saw it. It sort of relates; I think you all might enjoy this reading!

-I live in Greater Manchester- England.
-It's summer- but in england that doesn't really make a differance. We've had quite a few hot days but today it's rainy, and cold.
-Nope. The kids finished school on Friday 22nd of june.
- A jumper is either a jacket or sweater.

We have 'jump-suits' that are like what you describe, but they aren't dresses.
- A dummy is a 'Paci'

I'm in NY...and as you know, it's really really hot this summer. I'll certainly take this over winter, though...even at 6-7 months prego!
