I live in the US. In Ohio to be exact. Our weather is bipolar. Worst weather, ever. In the summer it can be up to 100 degree's and sunny out, then the next day it's in the 80's and storming like crazy. Worst weather ever--No joke.
I graduated highschoool in 2009, was in college, but am taking a break to spend time with my kids since I have gotten a better job.
A dummy is not a pacifier to me. When I hear that word I think of someone who is ignorant hahaha, or a crash test dummy.
My family always calls pacifier's a binky, or a passy.

As to your jumper and sweater comment. Here you can call them both. Like a wooly jumper just means a sweater.. If I'm understanding your statement right. I was just emailing one of my American friends about this because I said "jumper" and she was confused thinking I like to wear dresses in the winter.. which I do but they are diffrent things.. errm. You had to read the email.

I technically live in Wales, currently.. I'm practically always in England and always have been. I went to school here and only spent summers in Wales.. And I'm moving to England in the next few weeks!

We are in summer right now.

I'm not in school. I finished college before Panda was born and never wanted to go on to a university. Not really for me..

And yes a dummy is a pacifier..

I live under New England.
It's humid here (as per usual). Summer.
I'm not sure what a jumper is. I used to think it was a sweater but now I'm thinking it's a dress...
I'm still in school but on break.
And to me, a dummy is either an idiot or a lollipop or a crash test dummy, not a pacifier.

Oh and I've never ever heard a dress being referred to as a jumper, that's just completely odd.

In Australia we'll still know what you're talking about if your using dummy to mean an idiot, in my experience most places outside of America understand what other people are talking about in their variations of english.

Where do you live-NC, USA
Is it hot, warm, cold, freezing-hot; middle of summer
Are you in school-public school here runs pretty much from the end of Aug til the end of May
What's a dummy?-a stupid person; although I knew other people abroad call a pacifier a dummy; I call a pacifier just that with the nickname being "paci" (PASS ee); I've heard other people around here also call it a binky, and some other names that I can't remember
What's a jumper?-a person who jumps!
for what you mean, though, a jumper to me is a "dress" that goes to your knees, but it has no sleeves and you wear a shirt under it; the top has like tank-top-width straps; it's not a sundress, though; mostly girls up to about 10 yrs old would wear them, I imagine, but anyone could
