Haha, Celianne.

It's okay, Gracie. I don't think "loving life" "knows" me well enough, so I didn't take too much offense at her reply.

But, anyway, loving life, I am in my late thirties, have been married for 17 yrs, have three darling children, and we are not going to be trying for any more children. I am also a Christian and totally believe in abstinence outside of marriage. The funny thing is, I have actually joked with my husband the last couple of weeks about not having sex anymore! hahaha. Back to reality, though, I am just trying to figure out what I want to do for the next 20, 30 yrs for birth control that will be healthy, effective, etc, so I don't end up pregnant at 48 yrs old or dying of a stroke from birth control.

Gracie, I have briefly looked at Essure and Adiana, and basically, they are coils that sit in your tubes and the body "heals" around them, forming a barrier, or something like that. I was initially thinking of getting my tubes tied, but still not sure on that. The thing is, no matter what I look up, I know there will be "good" and "bad" info thrown at me about each form, I just have to sift through it all. That's why I want to hear from real people what has worked (or not) for them.

Just for the humour, tell your husband you've gone through childbirth 3 times, its about time he felt some pain and go for the snip. Ha!
