I have said this before so most people are probably tired of hearing it, but I grew up with a boyish name and I have been mistaken for a boy constantly by banks, employers, everywhere I give my name before they meet me. I wouldn't give my daughter a boy name just because of all the confusion it causes. Austin would be a cute middle name.

There was a girl in my high school named Austen...I always thought it was cute, even back then. I thought the e spelling was a little more feminine. She was kind of a tom boy but not extreme

I like Austyn.. Austen reminds me of Jane Austen even though it is her last name. so i guess Austen works well

BUT WE COULDN'T FIND A BOY NAME WE LIKED AS WELL SO WE ENDED UP NAMING HIM AUSTIN PERRY(JUST BECAUSE WE LIKED THE NAME AUSTIN SO MUCH).I LIKE UNISEX NAMES FOR GIRLS. IN THE END IT IS YOUR CHILD AND WHAT YOU LIKE. SO GO WITH YOUR HEART AND DON'T LET SOMEONE TURN YOU OFF OF A NAME YOU REALLY LIKE. GOOD LUCK
