I have a niece named Cassandra. I love the name Kassidy but my hubby doesn't like Kassidy that much.

Is Kassidy too close to Cassandra?

They are a little close but, I like Kassidy. And if you like it too I wouldn't worry about anyone else, They are not exactly alike so I think it would be fine.

I say it's too close. Also, ask your husband if he's really willing to consider the name.

Actually my hubby wants to name a little girl Lindsay. I like this name too but there are so many other names I like that he doesn't. We are trying to have a baby but our name styles are somewhat different. We both like traditional but I also like more up to date names like Kassidy, Kylie, Sydney, etc. He doesn't really like this style of names. I know he won't consider Kassidy as a name. He always says Lindsay is his favorite girl name.

You two should make a list of your top 5 names. Compare the lists and see if any names overlap. Maybe you can find a name that you both like. Or you can make a pact like: I will chose the first name and you chose the middle name. Good Luck!

Thanks lilipond! That is a good idea. We do have some middle names that we both like (Faith, Nicole).
